Green Building Council, Tallahassee Builders Association
The Tallahassee Builders Association's Green Building Council was created to educate our members on how to "Build Green". We meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month, where experts in specific fields are brought in to discuss what is available to "green" a home and how to go about accomplishing it. If you would like to attend a meeting and are not a member, you may come up to 2 meetings for free and then we ask that you please join. On June 10, 2009, Tallahassee Builders Association’s (TBA) Board of Directors approved the Green Building Committee’s request to become a Council. As of September 1, 2009, anyone wishing to attend TBA’s Green Building Council meetings and functions must join the Council by paying $50.00 in annual dues. You must be a member of TBA to be eligible to join the council. Non-members may attend meetings but will be charged $20.00 per meeting.
Members who joined the Council before September 1, 2009 were considered inaugural members of the TBA Green Building Council and were duly noted on a plaque which hangs in the lobby of the TBA office building.
